Some new fishies!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
african catfish such as syndontis, or an african butterfly fish, ctenopomas grow really slowly and bichirs really fast so it might get big enough to eat it befor the bushfish has a chance to grow

I just got 3 albino mollies for the 60g!
When a friend of ours came over and asked when I was getting fish for my tank, I figured I should probably get something that came out in the open when people were there.
They have helped my Leopard Bushfish stop hiding so much. I guess dither fish really work!

I havent tryed dithers, dont need to don't have any shy fish!
But your fish are looking great!

Post an updated pic with all your fish now? Sounds really nice so far!

Neat idea, african oddball fish are cool. I love senegals! I miss mine, he started off at about that size (3") too :) The mollies should provide some good live food for the bushfish and birchir.

If you want more fish I'd say add a school of larger African tetras and a synodontis to complete the setup. Or if you want a schooling catfish, Paereutropius buffei/Eutropiellus buffei, common name, Debauwi Catfish, would be a nice addition to all your other African Fish.

I don't think I'll be adding any more fish right now. It seems kinda full already!
Current inhabitants of the 60g are:
3 Senegal Bichirs
3 Leopard Ctenopoma
3 Butterfly fish
2 Mollies
2 Swordtails
2 guppies
2 Gambusia
Once the Sens and Ctenopoma are bigger, it'll started looking a little crowded!

These pics aren't very good, but they'll give you the general idea.
The 1st pic is of my biggest bichir who just hit 4 inches.
The 2nd and 3rd pic are the 2 sides of the tank
The 4th pic shows one of my bichirs in the coconut cave
And the last 2 pics are my butterfly fish
Happy now?:naughty:
