The sunfish look great. Had no idea that any type of shiner got that big

O some get even bigger I catch them all the time , they work great as bait for blue catfish also

Off I-65, south of RT-10 in those drainage conals they use to keep Bever Lake dry.

Great catches, both the shiner and longears are beastly specimens. Love the colors on the shiner, I used to keep a couple common shiners (very similar) but they were both females so never developed that color or got quite that beefy.

Wow even bigger? I would have not known they were shiners . The one's here are tiny.

Very nice fish! Those big Luxilus shiners do well in tanks if there's enough room, I have several in my community tank.
