I can goto a fish store and say I have a 500G tank ... and I want this and this and this... and you don't have to prove anything

but mostly "THEY" (the store) wants the money and doesn't care of what tank size you have

I can easily buy a 16" disc width otorongo stingray for $400 and put it in my empty 25G tank without any fuss or any explaination

that's why I like my LFS. They make sure you can care for what you're buying. I've seen plenty of people refused sales by the owner. I've even been to one in Virginia Beach where an employee that was younger than I am (I know, age doesn't mean much in the hobby) ask me how the my tank has been running to make sure the filter was established! I was impressed.

In my school, this completely retarded science teacher has a 10 gallon. In it, she has like 12 jack dempseys that are like 2-3" and crappy hob filter on it, and a 2 inch layer of black muck in the gravel. And one more crazy thing to add to that, she puts her dead fish in her potted plants because she thinks its good for them. Well as a bio teacher, she should at least know that there aren't any decomposers in a pot of commercial soil!

Those pots must be full of fish...
