If that is the whole tank, judging from the size of the giraffe cats head, the footprint is 6X4 ft. I also hope it isn't that overstocked in the portion you can't see. Power is cheap in Washington (where this guy is located IIRC), but trying to maintain tropical temps in his big outdoor tanks must have cost him a fortune.

I remember reading that when he does water changes, he runs something like 11,000 watts of heaters to bring tap water temps from 50F to 75F...feeding these monsters and maintaining that tank at tropical temps must have cost some serious dough. Gotta respect him for being one of the few people on here to buy these monster fish and actually build tanks large enough to house them.

In any case, I think this was just a temporary setup since as Pacumom mentioned he had an 8,000G tank as well as some other large 1K+ tanks. But, I'm glad MFK has progressed...I remember back in 2007 and 2008, the JDM fishkeepers claiming to be taking fishkeeping "to the next level" dominated the site; tanks like the one pictured were pretty common...glad to see most of these guys have fallen off...they gave the site a bad name.
