nope it hasnt cleared up. i am doing another 20 percent water change tonight. As far as the r/o unit i dont use one. Thus only using tap water. I dont think its bad water either cause all my other tanks are fine.

YAY!!!! almost there... just for future never do 3x 70% wc a week on such a large tank... thats crazy especially from right out of the tap. you will shock the fish something nasty, if you were keeping bigger cichlids or something maybe but not with these type of fish :|

Looks like the UV is working, I was going to say you most likely have a high phosphate level coming out of the tap which is resulting in all this algae in which case I would of got some plants and thrown them into your sump/filter thing. The plant, if chosen correctly you'd want something easy that can fight with algae, will take most of the nutes away from algae. cheaper method but you have a UV now which is working so all good!!

didn't see mention of it but how ling are your lights being left on for?

in a basement, to get algae like that it has to either be too much food or too much light:)

I dont have any smaller fish in the tank. My lighting is 400 dual mh that run about 10 hours. But i am in the process of trying to switch to some leds. I just dont know what leds to get.
