Thanks man, I'm just enjoying them for now, here's to hoping that they do breed in the future.

:) I keep my fingers crossed, hopefully they will. With large outdoor ponds in the Philippines and plenty of highly nutritional food that can be pick up anywhere, they can get to monstrous size as well. Even CB ornate over there that are keep in large pond get up to 20"+.

Yeah, once I bring them to my uncles farm I'm sure that they'll get big quick because tilapia and the frogs they sell at the market for consumption at the market breed there. Those tadpoles and small frogs are like steroids for fish.

Yep frogs are indeed steroids food for bichirs. Currently feeding mine with Indonesian floating frogs.

Update us when they settle down.

Very nice collection you got. All are nice sized to.

I don't care about the crappy pics as I can still see details. Nice update and the contrast on the patterns are getting more vivid. Update us some more in the near future.

Love those teugelsi!

I am happy about how the Teugelsi turned out, absolutely high quality specimens. Much props to the supplier. They ate pretty much out of the box, and that was after being in water that had chemicals to sedate them for more than 36 hours.

The pics really don't do the fish justice because you can't see their base color. The Ansorgii and the "Tikinso Guinea" Laps are probably taking the longest to settle down (pattern and contrast wise), but it's getting there slowly but surely.

If I can get my friend who takes pics over to my place you can expect some more pics in the future. Thanks man.

Of all bichirs, lap varaints are harder to get more stable patterns. Some of my laps will even take months to get stable. Some will just take a few weeks.

Now it's time to fatten them up to make them look massive.
