There's mata at local petstore here that is about 2 feet long that is kept in a tank that looks to be a 60g. The poor thing barely has any room to turn around. Everytime when I go there it seems it has never moved from the previous times. Have talked to the workers in there about putting it in bigger tank or finding it a new home like a zoo or something. All I get is that the turtles happy and besides they don't move much:screwy:

They do move.... They follow prey around and are never in the same place...

it is for that reason that I did not brting that huge beautyfull mata from Spain, because it would have no space at this point in time..

tell those guys that they do not know what they are doing....

awsome ..... just awsome

Only thing I miss is what I brought to my friend Filipe, the FRT!!! How is it?

How old in the little gator snapper?

mine is around 7 months old.
yours looks a like it would be a little bigger then mine and i was wondering if they develop agression as they get older. cause from what i have experienced with mine, its pretty mellow

Gators are mellower than common snappers. Much mellower. They will only bite you if you stick your hand in front of them, opposed to commons who will actively pursue your hand.

Oh Yeah totally, but what i mean is I think mine is even mellow for a gator.
It doesnt even open it mouth when i pick it up. so i was wondering if that was something they did when young. You know look as much like "wood" as possible. or if it really is just mellow.

What are you 2 feeding your Allis with? Dont feed live to any of my turtles or fish so use Reptomin and prawns for my 2 Allis

Mine does well on gambusia, and worms. I havent the slightest idea on how to train it over to pellots or any other non live foods. Also i dont understand how to feed it every other day either since it only takes live.
