This is also a super red aro. Nice too.

Guys, IO come from the land where Asian Aros are a dime a dozen. They are jaded by ordinary asian aros. Hes on another level than us when it comes to appreciating asian aros. its like if youre a cop in South Central LA, gunshots dont faze you anymore. ;)

we should not be imposing our standards on others. and beauty is on the eye of the beholder. ;)

but because there really is more of these awsome fish over here and we get to learn more regarding these magnificent creatures thru experience. so in the course of sharing knowledge there is high urge to help and inform and correct members who might be mis-informed regarding these creatures.

we've also seen many cases where members are cheated by unethical sellers who is selling fish for what its not. these are expensive fish and so explained the zest in providing information to all. :)

Its a red aro....

As for VFSR and what not. Those are brand names given to red aros by farms.

I concur. It is a Super Red, a Chili Red one. Violet Fusion is a "brand name" for Chili Reds.

And by some, this one is not top quality because its colors are not dark enough. Red Arowanas are supposed to be as red as possible, this one is pale orange. But still, it is a beautiful fish.

I actually like the green base with the thin red/orange frame better than a full red.

All the names get confusing when you can't see them first hand, or understand why they're called what they're called. A lot of the farms have come up with their own names for their "product".

It makes it tough to buy because when they're small, theres no good way to tell how good they'll turn out. Lots of choices. At least we don't have that problem yet. :(
