Someone PLZ Help me with Pacu

The sore is what really started it all, I was trying to do right by the fish and bring him up to health, when, after researching, found that he is way too big for the tank. I dont want to risk the health of the other fish by treating him, or stress him out, if nothing is actually wrong except that he is too big for the tank and is miserable. Still think I should treat him? The sore is actually pretty bad, I will post a pic tomorrow.

What size tank is the pacu in now? What other fish are with him? Melafix is good to treat the sore ..but also small amount according to the directions on box of { aquarium salt} it will relieve stress and also fight any infection..{only aquarium salt}Is he eating good?.. if he is still in the small tank and the wound is caused by constantly bumping his nose on the glass the medicine won't help much..since he will be bumping it over and over but it will precvent infection from setting in... i have to see pic to determine if it is that kind of wound.

Yes,,just remembered its called melifix jsut follow instuctions,,its good stuff and sorts a variety of probs and destresses fish so cant be bad

haha,,hi liz,,,did you hear my vieja beat my two oscars up REAL bad sold her now,,oscars have healed nice oscar is 100% and brutis who was left for dead is about 80% but lost the bottom lip but shes healing great 30% water changes daily been a couple of wks now but worked miricles

no i did not hear it ..sorry because i would have sent you a hug.. glad to hear they are on the mend..even Brustus was in the battle??? Hope they heal up okay... so sorry!!

30 gallon tank with two goldfish. He is eating okay, i found out on this forum that he could and should be eating fruits and vegatables, so i do some research and fed him carrots and bananas yesterday and he devoured them. i will definately send pics tomorrow.

30 gallon tank with two goldfish. He is eating okay, i found out on this forum that he could and should be eating fruits and vegatables, so i do some research and fed him carrots and bananas yesterday and he devoured them. i will definately send pics tomorrow.

very good ..you would be a great fish keeper so i hope you stay with fish.. zucchni and different types of squash are also their favorites.. what a sweet pacu .. you should have someone want to adopt him.. get some good pics of him and show that sweet guy off..
