Someone shot my fish!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Then I hear my fish calling my name followed by the fish the fish, and I could tell by the pitch in her voice that something happened

This is where you got lucky. I've tried to train my fish to call me when they're in danger, but they just don't get it! :D

I tried to go back and edit it to my wife but someone had already replied and it was too late..........But apparently from what I'm gathering Jebo tanks are notorious for this. I purchased this tank new off of craigslist and originally thought it was acrylic from the pics cause of the curved front. After seeing the tank in person I realized it was glass and was a little skeptical to buy it. But I went against my gut and bought it. Live and learn......

I read this thread yesterday and thought, "that must be the worst experience on earth." Then today my 220 in my living room got tired of holding all that water and decided to take a break. I lost most of my fish and have a huge mess. So I can actually completely sympathize with you.

I never keep my tanks near window or natural sunlight so I don't have to deal with algae but I never heard anybody having problems where the glass cracks.

Hello; After some more posts it appears that the tank was a type that is known to have failure issues. It may be that the tank was going to eventually fail because of the method of construction. I think it had factory molded corners, if I read posts correctly, and not siliconed seams. I was thinking of how hot things were around here a couple of weeks ago and speculated on heat being a factor. Perhaps not.
A decent tank should cope with heat and cold if there are not too sudden changes.

WOW! One of my biggest fears. My tank has bubbles along the seams of the tank. It freaks me out.
