I have seen many men and women wearing their combat military uniforms lately in public such as movie theaters, grocery stores, malls, and etc. I always ask my self why? There are no military bases close to were I live, but there is a recruiting office. Are they just being patriotic? Wearing that to get attention and respect? Fakes? Showing off? Just got off duty? Can someone clarify this for me.

I respect the armed forces and I am not bashing on them. My uncle and friend is in the marines and they dont wear their uniforms in public places.

maybe they were doing laundry and that was the only clean clothes they had left.

That clears it up a little, lol.

nice bee. lol.

I believe they have to

march air reserve base is near me, so it's not uncommon where i'm at

it was more commone when it was march air force base. don't know if that's the reason why though

I was always told by my Marine buddy that wearing your utilities in public was frowned upon and trashy. He always said, "If you are going to represent the military wear your dress blues... end of story. No self respecting serviceman would wear his utilities in public."

Good question. I've often wondered this myself after hearing the above statement.
