Okay for time being should I add salt to the tank and then go try to find some meds? I've got nothing but time tonight lol
 
It just said there was little known about treatments other than lowering the temperature may help some. Raise it and treat for parasites or lower it and treat for EMR?
 
Still researching hold up.
 
Me too... EMR is usually found in farmed fish like trout. Thats all Ive got so far

I would do what the text said if it seems to be the red mouth.. If possible bag it and go to the vet.
 
Thanks for your help but there's no way my boyfriend will let me take an angel to the vet. Maybe one of our ropes. Or the knives. Not an angel. You said in the beginning you thought it could be worms - I have little white ones all over the tank. Are those the type that could do this sort of damage?
 
I'm going to go to Walmart and look around - the only medication I have is a stresscoat with Aloe Vera in it - and that alone isn't going to help her. I'll keep you updated on her condition (aka... I'll let ya know when she doesn't make it)

It's official - I have LOST my marbles. I went to Walmart - only thing available that looked like it could help was good old MelaFix. Got two bottles... doin great. Then I messed up. Horribly. Can someone tell me WHY I thought it would be a good idea to buy a pair of angels from WALMART? :ROFL: Last time I got a fish from Walmart, it took out an entire fishtank of 35 fish in three days b/c it was carrying hexamita. In my defense... one of them is some of the best quality I've seen in a half black in a long time. The other has blue blusher coloring. Where in the heck did Walmart find blue blushers?

Treated the angel and the whole tank with Melafix - I think it hurt her when the meds touched the wound. She went crazy and started running into things - also, the redness has spread to the top of her lips and is starting to go towards the other side of her face. Lovely.

**just read the above reply.. kick his balls in... omg i can't stop laughing! I'm actually much more worried that this will get on my other angel... an absolutely gorgeous double black. That's why I'm trying to handle it ASAP. Kick his balls in... haha... can I do it now? While he's sleeping?
