Yes, swab with betadine to avoid further infection. Forget the HP since it does remove the healing tissues.

The wound doesnt seem to be spreading anymore and its not red but it hasnt begun to cover the bones again

Okay i will tomorrow when i have time....how do i apply it? do i just swab it on multiple times?

Get a Q-tip and carefully dab the betadine on the wound. That's it.
