It's funny how some mutations are desirable (shiny blue color) and others aren't (beak mouth)...but that's the world of fancy fish

But, back to real words. EBJD's are inbred junk. Sorry you found out the hard way. Mine died because he was afraid of guppies. I wasn't about to accommodate any cichlid that hid from a guppy. And their eyes tend to fall out of their sockets, too. Total BS fish.

no probs with my 2 ebjds so far other than slower than expected growth.

My reg JD on the other hand had it's jaw knocked crooked lip locking in my old tank, never realigned but the fish lived a long life.
