Just wondering if anyone has one for a 6 foot 125 they're looking to part with.

I'm not looking to pay anywhere near the online price for new backgrounds.

I'm also looking for advice on which is the best route to make my own as an alternative. The ol' styro insulation and cement?

Comment or message me with a picture if you have anything to offer please.

Steve

Tonight I installed a 3d background for my 150 that I bought from designs by nature. It came out to like $120 for a 6' tank - Oh and I got the slim design.

Looks awesome, very easy to install into an established tank. If I didn't break my light by stepping on it I would post pictures :D

Yeah, check out the slimline ones, link here.

I can't believe what a difference it makes, I'm completely in love. And since I only have a 150g I don't really have much width to lose and this takes up less then one inch off the back. It's just awesome.

I need to find a cheap 72" light so I can tank some pictures and write a review for Matt (the guy that runs the site). I sent him a few emails prior to purchase and he got right back with me.

Oh and I got the Abyss, looks really good with my black sand.

So I assume you bought a few and connected them? If so, how'd it work?

Really really easily. I messed up on the measuring job, so had to cut an additional 1 1/4" off after my initial cutting. But installing it was a snap.

Took out all my decor, moved the sand away from the back of the tank and just popped the panels into place. I measured it so the top of the background panel fits just right under the top frame lip of the tank so it fits snuggly in place.

You wouldn't happen to have any pics would you? Pleeeeease? haha.

My tank is currently empty so it'll be an easy job. My tank is only 22 or 23" high and these online are 31.75. That's a lot of cutting.

Which one did you get? Think I can make it work?

I'll hook up the 24" strip light right now and try to get some pictures.

Oh and for the cutting I just used an exacto knife.

I edited a post a few up to include the link to the one that I got - The Abyss.

The abyss pictures do look sweet. I do like the gray. I do have sunset gold sand though. So I don't know if they'd clash.

I was looking at the tan desert ones if I had lighter sand - even thought about switching my substrate to PFS as I liked a few of those so much :D

Transfering the pics from my phone to the PC as we speak, will have some pics for you shortly :)
