South American Tank

I would go with a 6ft 125 if that's the case and avoid a corner tank if you can it will give you more options.

agreed

if you wanted a green terror and jack dempsey a 100 gal would def be sufficient and shouldnt have too much of an aggression problem with that much room, i have a green terror and jack dempsey in a 55 gallon and they get along great, all depends on each individual fish's personality though

Got it. So If I go with a 6ft 125 will I only be able to put a terror and jd in there? I was also interested in the dwarf cichlids because of their sick colors. What other options do I have?

I've been giving it thought and I think a 125g aggressive tank would be pretty sweet especially if I get them young and watch them grow (that's probably my favorite part). So, what suitable tankmates can I place with a green terror and how many fish can actually go in the tank safely?

Well in my 120g ive got 2 GTs, a JD, Severum, Green Texas, Firemouth and Silver Dollars all juvies and no serious aggression between them but id only about 3 or 4 will tolerate each other when their adults.

Make sure when you get whichever aggressive cichlids you get, to get them partially the same size (jeuvies would be your best bet) and put them in the tank at the same time to lower territorial aggression.

Alot of people say thats not the issue but I've learned from my own experience..

Awesome thanks for the information. Besides a Jack Dempsey and an oscar, what other SA/CA fish can share the tank with a Green Terror?
