I took a guy that worked for me & there was another guy on the tour from Missouri. It was a Peru based collection out of Iquitos.

I may put a group together because I have a couple people wanting to make the trip. I maybe will put something in planning later this year for Next August 2011. I think a total of 12 can be on a trip. I will have to check current cost for the tour itself but think around $1600. I say figure about $2000 minim + flying. You have to get prep early with shots, etc. before heading down there. Also I say its not always for the weak stomachs or looking for it being on a cruise ship. Being in the business up here & dealing with the day to day bs it was nice with no phones, internet etc.. It was peacefull. Plan on getting dirty & dealing with bugs etc. I was catching geckos & putting them in my bunk to eat the bugs.
Bringing fishes back is a pain from my experience & shipping expensive. I have a federal permit to import/export. But I know I can get some of my stuff from some of my known suppliers for less on some things without the major losses that can come from bringing in direct from the exporter.
