Sp. Faranah from rehoboth aquatics

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I personally own a Faranah lap and another similar. Which I identify more of a Guinean type lap for the second.

Jaws7777 also had assistance on a potential ID on a different site from King-el as something that looking more towards a sp. Faranah. Believe due to it not looking like the usual faranah lap we're seeing everywhere and highly prized sp. Dabola.

That's how I interpret it being towards a sp. Faranah. Cuz i reiterate once again. This does not look like the faranah lap we are seeing everywhere. I'm sorry if some is not seeing it. I suspect it's a contaminant that usually is with dabola/faranah shipment. A difficult to identify poly which was purchased as a sp. Dabola and sent possibly something different. It happens all the time when dealing with these poly types. Most of these go overseas, because hobbyist over there is a little more adventurous. Just my opinion.

So i was looking at some photos that Hao Hao shared with us, and one photo with two sp.dabola have a similar or exact same headshape and pattern as J jaws7777 new poly.
You guys judge it, but imo it dont look like a lap head.

Does this Faranah Lap not look similar in terms of pattern and headshape? Angle of the shot is a little different from the above photos.

I think the pattern looks close enough with the broken stripe pattern. I still stand with sp.Delaware being a sp.Dabola. :)

Here are some older photos of sp.Delaware back in 2013.

Brosky u and king el can debate that lol.....i just like the fat chick all that matter to me is she stays healthy hahaha again to me i havent seen that pattern pr head on any other sp besides that dude on FB

Do you know where that sp was caught ?

what do sp. Tinkisso's look like?

personally I like attempting to ID by catch location. I consider it as shorthand. Don't think Lap or Endli is as specific due to all the variations. I like that Kolotons look similar etc.

headshapes/head patterns in some of the sp.Dabola pics you posted look very similar to sp. Delaware.

Nope. No idea on where exactly. It was just sold to me as polypterus sp. Dabola. It looked sp.Dabola to me years back that's why I bought it! Here are the photo from the seller who bought it from Toyin.
