I would highly recommend that you get all the parameters you can written down. Also the type of filtration, the temperature, the size of the tank, the frequency of water changes, the amount of water changes, the media's used, any other pumps/water currents, decorations, type of substrate, buffers, and any chemicals that have been used, including the type of water conditioner. This will help any others that wish to breed them have a head start, and if you are ever wanting to go back into breeding them, this will enable you to replicate the breeding parameters.

I assume you are talking to me? I'm sure I can do that.

Filter is a cascade 700 with a spray bar for current.

Media is first cotton to remove large particles, then bio rings, then charcoal.

temp is about 80 deg. F

tank size is 220 us gallons

Monthly water changes. approx 30% (although the tank had only been set up for about 2-3 weeks prior to spawning)

"Prime" used to dechlorinate.

Substrate is agronite (sp?) sand. we have low ph in our water here in ky and this helps keep the ph up.

two bubble wands.

Fish size is: one is approx 12 in. the other is approx 8 in.

I will update later today with the ph/nitrate/nitrite/ammonia which I'm sure have changed just a bit since its been about a week or two since spawning.

I will also try to get more pics as I just got 99% of the fry to a 10 gallon tank, rather than that breeder net.

Also write down outside temp. Could be a rainy season thing?

Currently it is the summer and temps have been 85+ degrees. Although my house stays between 76 and 78 degrees with the ac on...lol

The only problem is how you tell the sex of an ID shark? Just like puffer fish, you cant tell the difference.. :D That's the hardest part

Wow . . . did you check the filter to see if any of the babies were in there?

no I haven't checked the filter, I would assume that they would all be dead at this point.

Ok, did the water test today. as follows:

Amonia = 0
nitrite = 0
nitrate = ? (havent tested yet.)
ph = 7.6 (a bit high I belive?)

Ok here are some pics of the Fry from today, notice the skirt and black line down the body. These are some of the bigger fry, the others are too small to be photographed. Also I know the tank looks dirty, thats just because I just feed them a cube of baby brine shrimp.

There are a few more pics in my gallery.

Also I found this website to have a lot of info on their spawning behavior on it. CLICK
