Spawning Mayans

Pretty mellow pair for now. Just carved out a small territory from the rest.
Male about 6" female maybe 5.5.

Thanks, I've been searching for them for about 6-7 years. I know they're everywhere in the rest of the county, but they have always eluded me her in the Pacific Northwest. I tried to keep Festae, but it wasn't the same. Sure, they are much more colorful, but that didn't really do it for me. Especially when out of 16 I've had in the last decade over half had some major deformity. Out of the eight I have, not one Mayan has any deformity, you would be hard pressed to find that in almost any Festae line.

Nice pair, and glad you finally found them. Mayans are definitely on my wish list. They are a very underrated cichlid.
