Honestly from my experience NLS gives better color to my cichlids. Nls would heal up and not cause hole in the head with one of my picky jack Dempseys who got hole in the head badly from eating other foods. Nls does not cloud up my water. Nls does not stink up my water or if I leave the bag open stinks up the wjole room. Nls is cheaper. Nls makes other foods accepted by fish vs feeding massivore only the fish only wants massivore and refuse to eat anything else for a super long time its seriously like a drug they want nothing else. Converting fish to new foods once they have been on massivore for years is super hard and in the case of one of my bass was almost the cause of her death. Nls comes in a nice bucket that I can reuse for lots of things or even fill with other food. When I use to feed massivore I put it into an nls bucket because the bags are just stupid. Those are my personal experiences and why I do not feed massivore.
