Another truly amazing Fish these Sperator Species.
I was fortunate in the past to own x 2 S.Acricularis, they grew from 2" to "20 & 26" respectively in uder 2 years before unfortunately i lost them both one winter
I know have another Sperator - Aor this time & the beauty was only about 2.5" 6-7 momths ago and is already approx 18". Certainly one of the fastest growth rates Ive encountered along with RTC & Clarias.

redtailrob love that pic. lol, looks like he was chubby. Sorry for you loss. I do have an update. I moved this fish finally to the 100 gal aquarium. This is only maybe for 2 months and I will put him in the 400 gal pond. Hopefully by then my roomate will move out and I can begin construction on a 1200 gal pond I have planned as well as another 400 gal. I have some vids I will attach as well. :) Enjoy. BTW this fish is 13" currently.

BTW his name is officially Nosey lol.

nice update looks pretty chubby too! it doesn't seem the growth rate has slowed at all

Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

It slowed some but that may be due to my loss of steam after losing the wels, and vulture. I am back in the swing realizing that I have a lot of great fish that need looked after still and need to care for them so they thrive. I've been scared to move this fish since they died. I was afraid he wouldn't handle the stress and I would lose another awesome pet. Now that I have him moved I don't regret it at all. He is doing wonderful. Much more active in his larger accommodations. As you can see in the vids he was actually quite placid being moved compared to other large catfish I have moved lol. Even came up to be fed about 1 hour after the move. A few days after the move Nosey seems to have actually put on some weight as well. :) I couldn't be happier with this fish, but with his unexpected growth rate I have new problems lol. Like if he outgrows the other fish where will I put them until his growth slows and they play catch up. My granulated catfish has also grown faster than I had expected, but I consider that a good thing lol.

Thought I might also provide a pic of nosey.
