hey now spincast reels have been around a long time and many a fisherman myself included learned off a zebco 33, yeah they aren't likely to hold up to big fish but they work just fine for smaller stuff, good for beginners just don't expect to catch a ton of big fish with one and have it keep working

I dont think I have ever messed with spincast to any extent. I am almost positive I learned on a spinning rig. Im not really sure how so many people struggle with baitcasters though. Adjust the magnetic control until you are more comfortable winging it.
