Spotted gar has no teeth?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey, yes your gar does have teeth and a lot of them.
The reason you cant see them is because when gars are small not only there teeth are tiny but the can almost be see through.
I think you didn't read the thread at all, it is not a gar!

Hey guys, I rang up the place today (ripples in bridgemere) and the manager said i could have a refund, im off school after wednesday and then a week after that so ill order a real gar from this kdc aquatics place when ive got my money back and then ill have an update when i get my real gar. What do you suggest, a spotted gar or an aligator gar? i know gators grow huge but i could sell it on if it got too big..

The fish has been replaced. I've now bought a rtc and i ordered a spotted gar, but the guy messed up the orders and sent me a tsn instead, i put the 4 inch tsn in my big tank (LIKE AN IDIOT) and my litteler oscar ate him, so i managed to get him out but he didnt survive and died about an hour later(made a thread about this). After all of this i've still not got a spotted gar. Is it not meant to be?

First question is how big are your tanks?
Unless you have or plan to have very soon a huge aquarium eg 500g + don't bother with the rtc or gator gar as trying to sell these huge fish in our country is going to be a major problem as there isn't the amount of mfkers as there is in the US for instance.

I've always loved fish, i have a pond in my back garden which was totally natural, and i used to re-arrange the lillies and take out all of the 20 years dirt at the bottom. i keps a pet frog in a mini pond i made too
the only reason an aquarist keeps a large fish is due to the bond created at a young age.. no one wants a miniss just cuz its a monster
