Spotted Raphaels at 66F

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
it doesn't, but isn't your main tank heated?
I bought them the day they were shipped, yesterday, so they went from the bag to the tank at LFS, then bag again to my 5.5g and then they would need to be bagged AGAIN and moved into another tank, all in 24 hours?....then he'd bag them up and move again in another week

I think the risk of shock and stress outweighs the temp. unless stated otherwise about a minimum survivable low temp

Can you move the 5.5g tank to a heated room?
If it was me I'd drain the tank half way and then place it next to a room heater. Then fill it back up.

Or if you have enough outlets dont move the tank, but still place the space heater pointing at it.

it's a good idea, but I can't do any of that. My basement is my fish room....only reason I have a 5.5g is because space won't allow me a bigger quarantine tank , otherwise I would be using one of my empty 20gL/H instead or at least a 10g. Believe me, when I say posting about having a 5.5g on MONSTER Fish Keepers, I blush a little with embarrassment LOL

But putting the tank in another room that's warmer isn't an option? Why is that?
central heat/air....thermostat is set the same for every room. No fish allowed upstairs either. Basement only. I don't get to have an opinion on it, it's just how it is :( Trust me, I've tried before. basement only.

I'm so sorry to hear that news, at least you have the basement to use.
Too bad its not heated also
