One of the big reasons people prefer a ST over a indo besides looks is because ST is a lot more stable than a IT. Ive owned both.

Well in my experience they rarely ever hide or sulk in a corner and they seem to be more active than indos.
I have owned all varieties of datnoids except for American. Indos and ntt no matter what size all seem to hide and hardly ever move from their hiding spot. NGT hides but swims around here and there. ST and CT hardly ever hides and literally swims up to you. Most of the time they will be in the middle of the tank chilling in that one spot, super gold and stable. Once in a blue moon they will act like an indo and chill in a corner like something scared them.
