I think people expect what you guys coin "ST colors" from IT's because they have the potential to be just as brilliant. What I think bothers a lot of people is the fact that their IT does not achieve the level of brilliance they are capable of. It is almost as if folks are forced to settle for less than ideal...Face it...no one buys an IT to see it sit "black" in a corner. So, we hope for stability and seem to get frustrated when we don't achieve it. I think environment (i.e. driftwood, plants, lighting etc.) has more to do with it than anything else...based on my experience of course.
Personally, the reason I have not been so pressed to get ahold of a bucnh of STs is because my Indos (at least enough of them) were always stable enough to satisfy my lust for the black and gold brilliance and awesome display of the Asian Tiger Fish.
And for the record...(And I know people will argue me down)...I have seen an unstable ST!
