stand build help!

As for bracing...shelling the stand in plywood does most of the work.
 
how do you have room in that stand for anything???? its a 55 gallon right????

yea i know i am wrapping it in 3/4 mdf i had a couple sheets laying around my garage so why not its free and i am pretty sure ill like the final look
 
got some new pics finally finished the damn thing looks good just painted it ohh yea and built a nice canopy here are some pic's, pictures of it all painted and the tank on it and set in place later in the day thanks guys/girls for the help and input much appreciated:)

(looking different? took out the supports to make sure it was leveled and squared as i put the mdf to finish it of :nilly:)

Looks great!
I especially like the moulding on the hood, it really sets if off.
Be sure to seal up the inside of the hood so mold don't grow in it.
 
Wow, you could park a pickup truck with the 55g in the bed on top of that!

I built my 55 stand entirely out of plywood, screws and liquid nails, its been running for about 4 months now, survived a move and a billion pounds of slate being moved around in the tank.

thanks alot i am posting pictures of it paint and with the tank in it in a few minuets but still not door lol ran out of wood and for the mold issue i have the regular hood set up on it and the canopy is just an open top
