Stand or not for huge plywood tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Later I will be painting the wood and cutting the strips of fiberglass to cover the seams. Tomorrow I may be adding the epoxy.
Then I’ll triple check the interior to make sure there’s full coverage of epoxy .
The leak check will be soon 🥹

Mixed up a different color epoxy for the walls. So now there’s 3 coats of epoxy on all the walls. I also re fiberglassed the areas around the window panels. Next I’ll be wiring the lights in the bronco and securing it to the bottom of the tank. I figure 1 week until leak testing.

Just a few of the intended inhabitants of this tank. I have 4 koi, 2 tri colors, 1 platinum and 1 black/gold butterfly.
1 spotted Florida gar, 2 red sliders that we rescued from under our landscape fabric out front.
I want a ripsaw catfish, several super red crawfish and 20-30 fresh water clams.

Found first problem, addressing it now. Dried the bottom of the tank. Going to build a wall with Tuck tape around one corner of the front glass frame and pour epoxy 4” deep. Then build a silicone wall along the bottom edge and fill with epoxy. Tonight I will remove the tape and silicone. Tomorrow night I will resume filling it with water.
