i started a thread on this topic so we would no longer be off topic, and i feel it stopped being a discussion and became an argument when she inferred i was too irresponsible to have a pet because i value human life. then moreso when she said i was acting like a ten yearold.

well if a 10 foot snake ever snapped at me il tell u what, i wouldnt keep that thing for long.
thats why im never foing to get anything that gets bigger than like 6 foot
and on the animal planet one time i saw a program about huge snakes in zoos and aquariums
they said they always keep sharp objects such as knives around

So to save your rabid dog's live, in a life or death situation, you would let it kill you, instead of injuring it?

Please stay in Canada. We are already stocked up with stupid people here in the States. Again, don't ever get a snake. Or a dog.

That is overdoing things big time, JLE...

Name calling is unwarranted and not needed.

i dont own a large reptile because owning a dangerous undomesticated animal is, well, dangerous.
So you are saying that keeping a sulcata is dangerous;) Yea it will bore you to death:grinno:

I think that anyone who owns an animal that has the ability to kill a human, if they value that animals life more than their own or someone elses, they are irresponsible and shouldnt be allowed to keep dangerous animals. Instead i would recommend they be forced into a pit with that animal to live for a month or 2 and given only water, by the end of a few months i guarantee one of you will be food.
Any dog above the size and including, of a cooker is capable of taking a human life and even smaller are capable of doing horrendous damage wich however doesant mean they will;) Off topic but just to show you how you are over generelazing

What would you do? Kill it? Abandon it? Possible bitting (as well as defecating and urinating all over you) is part of the deal when you take a snake(or any other animal for that matter) home. Animals bite or atack for a variety of reasons. In 8 out of 10 bites(I see that on myself) the fault is YOURS not of the animal. If you dont what to be bitten dont keep any animal;)

You can get pretty nasty wounds by being bitten by a guinea pig, let alone a 5feet snake;)

Yup nothing like good old fashion and extremely precise info of a very cientifical (and entertaining) tv show. You can also learn very interesting things in "Bob the builder", "teletubis" and "Conan ´O´Brien":grinno::ROFL:

lol You said it! Let's not forget Go Diego go... My personal favorite T.V. show. He knows his stuff...

Also, being bit by a G pig is alot more painful than a 6ft snake bite :'( I know this from personal experience. Rodent's are scary. No one should ever own a hamster. They are satan's minions.
