Starfish in convict tank?

Today i found this, what looks to be, baby starfish in my 5 gallon hex with my baby pink convicts. Anyone know what it is?
(sorry for the crappy pics, cell phone pics.) the "starfish" is in the middle of the plant on the glass.

how strange, ever had salt water in there, or perhaps rock that was originally from a marine tank?
other than that it could just be a bacterial organism that resembles a star fish.

i had a marine reef tank a few years ago and you would be suprised the amount of random creatures and corals that would appear from nowhere because of the plankton layer in marine tanks.

never kept saltwater in the tank. I looked for it today and i cant seem to find it.
 
its a Hydra worm mate.

yeah, its probablly a hydra, they can eat fry other than that they are harmless i believe
