Started my 1020g ply tank

Awesome stuff. Glad to see the 5200 worked so well. Interesting idea with using several beads. My thoughts are if one bead is bad your ok , but if you have a bad spot in every bead the water will find its way out so you must've done one right. How many tubes of 5200 did you end up using?

My thoughts exactly. If I messed up on on bead, hopefully I didn't mess up on the other 4 beads in the same spot lol. Like I said, it may make it through one bead but it also has to find it was through 5 others.

Yea I've come to love 5200, I've even pulled the liner from the glass and wood a good deal and no tearing, of course if I used a lot of strength it'll tear. But this thing is strong. I'll stand by this.

Soooooo, am I the first who has done a pond liner this way? All others run the liner through the glass. I think I'm the only one stupid enough to run it on top of it lol

It's clearly not finished but you get the general idea. 3" drilled over flow, 100g FGT, 3600gph pump, 2 large pothoes plants, tons of ceramic rings and lava rock. I will be running more gph in the future, more ceramic rings and more filter socks. But this is the basic idea.

As I stated, I will be beefing it up in the future. Or are you saying, even after I beef it up with more bio, gph and mechanical and it's still under filtered?

I'm not like 80% of people on MFK who overstock their tanks. Just because I have a 1000gl doesn't mean Ima have 30 fish. I only have 4 fish going in there and possibly a couple more in the future, WHEN I beef up filtration

Thanks, I did the folds behind so it doesn't show much, but it's not perfect. Not to mention, the fact that my viewing window is smaller and I only have a 4' light you can't even see the sides lmao.
