I then used water that i purified using my invention...and mixed it with salt in my tank......while mixing i turned on the heater im getting filteration by this friday, can i use a underwater filter for now?, i wont start cycling process until i get filter

after mixing i checked the ph............

then i added substrate and live rock.............it was real cloudy

heres how it looks about 4 hours later

i forgot to use bio coat marine to condition the tap water when mixing the salt..can i do it later on or did i screw up?

do it now, so any chloirne doesn't kill off the bacteria...

I would not bother installing an under filter, just add a powerhead or something to circulate the water...

underwater or undergravel.... to be honest when people say underwater filter i never get why, say internal... much less likely to be confused

looks like a good start. i would also just add the PH and wait until you get a filter. The LR will begin to cure itself and this will give you a bit of a cycle.

thanks everyone, i was talking about the little cheap plastic box filter with the sponge and carbon i would just use it until this friday

Those work fine. I had one. They clear up the water really fast but are a problem because of salt creep. The bubbles pop sending tiny droplets of water flying that later evaporate and leave the salt behind.

They work okay, not really anything i would ever use but as long as you get the other filter on there soon, then more power to ya lol.
