ohh ic ic, well take that 5lbs back and get a 25lbs bag. add salt to right SG and let if run for a while. You'll want sand and rock in the tank, this will get the initial cycle started.

im not the guy with the 5lbs of livesand lol, will it be ok for me just to have the empty tank filled with some water until i add salt tomorrow? theres only a heater in the tank

But really guys... 25# of live sand in a 20 gal SW setup? Seems like over kill if you then add 20-30# of live rock.

Whats up guys im back...i said saturday now its monday anyways heres what i did.........dont be upset of my actions im only 18 my budget wasn't great im saving up for a RO unit

I made a non leaking water purifier using a poland spring bottle, plastic cup and mayoneise bottle. In the mayo bottle there is small hole i made on the bottle to fit a vinyl tube. I connected about 2ft of vinyl tube to the bottom of the mayo bottle. In the mayo bottle there were 3 layers of water conditioners. the bottom layer is sponge. The middle layer is carbon concealed in a nylon material to prevent carbon getting into the water. On top of the carbon is another layer of sponge. I placed a plastic cup on the open top of the mayo bottle and wrapped it tightly with tape. Then I cut the bottom of the poland spring bottle and wrapped the open bottle with 2 layers of clean rinsed out nylon material then proceeded to tape the bottle to the cup.
