what was in it koy? goldfish?

Yea they had 4 koi 1 red ear slider turtle and some kind of catfish at the bottom guessing a small bullhead.

So cool how they put a lot of rocks on one side that the turtle would go onto.

Don't forget about corries!! everyone love's them. try and get rarer species and not just the bronze one's

Yeah Neons Tetras Congo Tetras and other feederfish I thought about building a LFS (still am) What about a Big South American Pond/Tank with Aros P-Bass and the all to avoid Pacus...Then you can avoid selling Pacus

tetras, bichirs, small catfish, ID sharks and other giant cat's if you want... some SA cichilds, etc...

If you're looking for a good marine source these guys are good www.fishheadsinc.com. Also don't rely on just one source , you should have at least two sources for your fish stock.. and if you can home breed a few species that won't cost you more than just ordering them as stock then go for it. as far as making it stand out , you need a good location where there's lots of traffic , a nice big sign board with a catchy name , and some money set aside for some marketing. ads in the news paper , magazines , open up a facebook group to keep in constant touch with your customers , have a twitter page as well , this is especially useful if you have an Iphone or blackberry as you can be "in the office" wherever you go. This is bread and butter advice , but worth consideration none the less. also think about having a partner to lighten the load on managment. the one thing i remember from any shopping experience is how well informed the sales people are. that and aftersales service. you can brainstorm some gimmicks to get people walking in , but don't depend on walk ins...gimmicks (i.e buy one get one free) don't create loyalty. know your rival LFS stores and how much they sell there product for , what services they offer and make it better.... just some ideas....

BS in Managment , ran my own small operation for 5 years and now running my father's businesses for him.

Well in my town there isnt one and there is a good main street to start one with places always for rent. And the closes one is 15 mins away but its not rlly clean but eh but the tanks r healthy. And a petco..... And also a local wal mart whre ppl get fish.
