1. HOW LONG YOU BEEN INTO THE HOBBY..? Pbas 5 years or so, fish since i was like 5
2. HOW MANY PBASS DO YOU HOUSE or HAVE...? 3 monoc, 2 wild orino
3. are they WILD COUGHT or FARM BRED...? 3 farm, 2 wild
4. WHAT, HOW DO YOU FEED THEM, any DAILY ROUTINES..? live feeders and market shrimp krill, trying for pellets
5. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FROM WHEN YOU FIRST HOUSED PBASS, FOR THEM TO START SHOWIN THEIR COLORS...? several months all were 1.5" when i got them
6.FROM WHEN YOU FIRST BOUGHT THEM HOW BIG WERE THEY, AND HOW MUCH OF A GROWTH SPURT DID THE HAVE SINCE THEN...? 1.5" now 10" biggest 9 months or so
7. HAVE YOU WITNESSED OR HAD ANY SUCCESSFUL SPAWNING OR PRESPAWNED IN YOUR TANK... IF SO SHARE YOUR EXPIERIENCE!! nope

5. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FROM WHEN YOU FIRST HOUSED PBASS, FOR THEM TO START SHOWIN THEIR COLORS...? Still aren't showing I bought them at 1.5 and they are now 2.inchs. But I can't wait.

9. HOW BIG IS YOUR TANK THAT YOU HOUSE THEM IN...? 55g grow out then too 150g grow out and I am in the works for a 450g or a 500g long and deep.

Sorry about the pics I am trying to get better as well as getting bigger! But I also feed them rosie's and I am thinking about Earth Worms and Krill next! (hand feeding)

- 20 Yrs off and on.

- Currently have about a dozen. Such as Kelberi's, Azul, Ocelleris, Orino, Mono.

3. are they WILD COUGHT or FARM BRED...?

- All are wild except for the Orino's

4. WHAT, HOW DO YOU FEED THEM, any DAILY ROUTINES..?

- Feed my boys 3x a week. Hikari Gold Pellets and Masivore. Every other weekend I'll feed live.


5. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FROM WHEN YOU FIRST HOUSED PBASS, FOR THEM TO START SHOWIN THEIR COLORS...?

- Just got in the PBASS game like 6 months or so ago. Mostly kept toothy dudes such as ATF's for sometime. For me black sand seems to bring out the colors best. I have two Hagen 48"T5 lights that's pretty adequate for nighttime viewing.

6.FROM WHEN YOU FIRST BOUGHT THEM HOW BIG WERE THEY, AND HOW MUCH OF A GROWTH SPURT DID THE HAVE SINCE THEN...?

- All my PBASS were already big when attained. Like 9-15"

7. HAVE YOU WITNESSED OR HAD ANY SUCCESSFUL SPAWNING OR PRESPAWNED IN YOUR TANK... IF SO SHARE YOUR EXPIERIENCE!!

- My Orino seems to be the slut of the tank constantly flirting with my Azuls. Doing the moving of rocks and fanning with the ventral fins and digging pits in the sand.

8. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPECIES OF PEA'S..?

- Kelberi's, with Orino coming in 2nd.

9. HOW BIG IS YOUR TANK THAT YOU HOUSE THEM IN...?

- 600 Gallon (96*48*30) and a standard 180 as a back up.

~i have had aquariums around me since i was 3 years old. i came across my first cichla about 8 years ago in a new york city chinatown pet shop. this was before i knew they were called cichla. being an addicted fisherman and knowing what peaock bass are i just had to have it. well ever since i have been back and forth between fish but cichla are number one on my list. they will prob always be in my house as long as they are avaliable.

2. HOW MANY PBASS DO YOU HOUSE or HAVE...? pls. list all SPECIES..
~currently i have 6.. 3 monos sp. Peru and 3 orinos sp.?... hopefully i can get someone to correctly idea them they get a bit larger

3. are they WILD COUGHT or FARM BRED...?
~they are all wild.. im not a big fan of farm boys

4. WHAT, HOW DO YOU FEED THEM, any DAILY ROUTINES..?
~i feed them how everyone else feeds them.. by dropping food into the tank ;) lol i feed then a few small meals a couple of times a day. i feed them blackworms, shrimp, gut loaded guppies and rossies... i soon hope to have them on pellets (this will be there main diet)

5. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FROM WHEN YOU FIRST HOUSED PBASS, FOR THEM TO START SHOWIN THEIR COLORS...?
~eveyday i notice something different buuuuuttt for those that are worried about there cichla not coloring up.. some species take longer then others (monos IMO and tems)... i think orinos color up the fastest.

~ lol ill leave it as they grow fast... i dont force feed my cichla, i feel there is no need and i hate sloppy looking cichla :grinyes:

~anything wild is good to me but wild monos, kelberis and orinos are all on my list for number one
