Why don't you just use the bigger tanks instead?

Have other plans for those right now...
And have the 125 already aquascaped how i want, so i'm gunna use that for the eels.

+1...start with the bigger tank.

Moving **** is a pain, and a good way to stress/kill livestock.

don't include the tessie, replace it with something smaller...they are too aggressive and large, which will will cause problems for the more docile zebra, and also for the dragon which has smaller adult size. Replace it with a smaller species, preferably one that can hold its own with the dragon

Getting the first eel in about two weeks. thinking im just gunna go 3 tessies... what do you think?

Your tank is too small for three tessy's period... even if you get tiny juviniles.

I agree with Cich-Anon... Keep your original list, drop the tessy and replace it with another 3-4 eel. How about a kidako? That would compliment the dragon really nicely. Then you don't have to worry about moving, you can see how you like it, then set up on of the bigger tanks for tessy's.

Tessy's get big fast... not just long but BIG. On top of that they're mean, aggressive, and competitive when it comes to feeding. If you don't feed them they'll eat whoever else is in the tank. If nothing is bite sized, then you'll just have a bunch of wounded, disfigured fish. If it's just them, the 125 isn't going to provide enough territory and they'll kill eachother, or stress eachother to death. One of my first eels was a tesselata (G. isingteena I believe). He got along with a shark that was in the tank, but shredded a grouper and another moray (G. moringa).

Cant wait to finish my 10'x3' bamboo shark/tessy tank. Think that will be big enough?

I think that will be f%$*ing sick :headbang2

Did you start a project thread yet? Can't wait to see pics. I don't know if you've settled on a species yet (IMHO that tank is fine for any bamboo/eppie/cat shark), but my personal fav is the common eppie. Your preference may differ, of course.

Thanks!

There will be a thread...my boss is getting the acrylic. At the very least it will be 8' long...but I am really pushing for 10'.

We already have a gray banded bamboo shark...so we are hoping to get a male and have them breed for us!

They also stay super small, only getting to 25".

You will be the first to know when I start putting the thing together! :D
