I honestly don't know a whole lot about tangs/angels... never kept them. IMHO almost all species of grouper are too large to keep in almost all home aquariums (and they WILL gulp smaller fish), but a lot of people keep them, so take that with a grain of salt. They are pretty hardy. Lions we already discussed, never kept undulated triggers but I don't think they're terrible. No idea on batfish. No sharks; I think you already made this decision, but triggers are a no no with sharks, and zebras get very large.

The tessie you mentioned is quite large... 20-25" might be a better call, though keep in mind total adult size as well.

Everything above would be an incredibly heavily stocked tank... I'd say add things one or two at a time and see how it goes.

Ok about the same page I am on. I was just throwing the shark out there cause it looked cool and on the website said it only required a 125 min, but then i looked it up and they can get over 5'. So shark and the triggerfish i'm over. I want it simple but I want the eels to be the centerpeice as stated also along side the lionfish, and then a nice mini school of larger fish, wasthinking the Angelfish or tangs, But tangs have an ugly face shape so more along the lines of angel fish, as I also read they are semi aggressive and can hold there own. If the eels or other tankmates decide to mess with them a little.
After a little more research I've decided to go with this as a final stocklist.

1x Tesselata Eel
1x White mouth Eel
1x Volitan lionfish
1x Miniatus grouper
3x Blueface, Emperor and a Koran angel. (1ea)
And a bunch of clean up crew(snails, crabs, shrimp)
and a huge school of damsels (25+)

pretty sure thats it. Might skip the grouper.

It's a bummer that some vendors grossly underestimate the minimum tank size for some, if not most sharks.

If you get a pic of the tessie at the pet store I can likely tell you which species it is.

The eel at my LFS is G. favagineus i'm quite sure, as it looks exactly like this.

That is gunna be a sweet deal.

Unfortunately, once you get into the fish business, you realize how cut throat it is.

I hope that everyone I have dealt with have been happy with my fish, and my service, but it is really hard to make money no matter what...let alone be a good advisor and give good support.

This is why losing LFS's is so sad...they were the last place where you could get some personal, knowledgeable, advice...then again, sometimes they have to be more cutthroat than the online guys.

exactly, everything is going digital and electronic. old fasion face to face knowlege is fading away...

as for stock though, think it is good?

The guy you've got a pic of above actually could be isingteena... it looks like a young specimen regardless.

wouldnt keep any of those angels in that small of a tank. since you dont have much experience i would also advise you stay away from emperor and the blueface considering they can reach a potential length of 15 inches... even the koran gets fairly large and is somewhat difficult to care for. water quality is going to be incredibly difficult to maintain when youve got 2 extremelly large eels, lionfish, groupers and huge angelfish.. AND 25 damsels??!!

ben you needa figure out that you cannot stock a saltwater tank like you can a freshwater.. i think you would be best off with keeping both eels, the koran and the lion

see how that goes

that is the best bit of advice i have read so far, you want a predator tank that needs heavy feeding but you were unsure what a protien skimmer is, you realy need to do a lot of research otherwise this will end in disaster, maybe buy one zebra eel a couple of chromis or damsels. i know this is not what you want to here but it is good advice , best of luck
