This is starting in my basement, so most is not for show.. Not like a store front where random people come in to look.

So, small pretty fish in tanks, may not be something I can do much of to start. I need to think about what will sell.

Note, most people who are going to be seeing what my stock is are more than likely going to be fish people..

Not the typical "I have a 5 gallon tank" people. They would be more likely to go to petsmart.

So you're going to be selling on the net from your basement?...breed fancy plecos and maybe FH, Syndontis multipunctatus, everyone here seems to luv the Dats and Pbass.
How are you going to advertise?

I will have a website, Craigslist, ads in the paper, local business owners I know... word of mouth- as well as some yard signage, and vehicle signage.

I have my degree in advertising- I have about 6 years of web design exp- and I have an industrial vinyl cutter, so the signage is of no extra cost to me; and a close friend runs a web server, so my website hosting will be cost free as well.

I will have about $20 in to business cards, and I will make things by appointment only, and if things pick up potentially having an open house for the fish room once it's completely finished.

Yo! If it's an online thing, try selling arowanas! Those go by REAL quick and you have plenty of room for a few babies that you can EASILY beef up fast. If you offer arowanas at just a few dollars lower than the other bidders online, people should buy them. My LFS always sells out on silver arowanas.
