always love seeing your tanks joe.

how bout another thread with the rest of your tanks!!
thanks man. i don't have as many running and they are pretty bare for now, we just had a baby last month, so having fewer tanks that required less maintenance was the only way that i could have enough time to get the house ready.

i am in the process of re-doing all my tanks now, i'm starting with the 75 gallon and then i'll move on to the rest. i actually am starting to hate the look of the sand in the 75 so i may be switching it out tonight or tomorrow. maybe i'll snap a couple pics of the tanks that don't look terrible and post them along with the pics of the new sand in the 75.

that's a nice tank the way you set it up, with me i woulda went with a mixed pygo, but if you have the tank space then i like what you did with it. i had a 14" rhom just in a tank and was kinda boring for me, i think i had to sell it and just got a bunch of caribe.
i have had plenty of pygos over the years and i still have a couple now, but i have been getting rid of the group i had because i want to start fresh with a pond that i have been planning for a couple months.

this rhom is great tho, never leaves the front of the tank and attacks the glass everytime someone comes near it, which is very different than most rhoms that i've owned.

i don't know, solitary rhoms just never did it for me, even tho i had them at very large sizes.. i did recently have a high grade flowerhorn with good size and that was a cool fish with lots of personality like your rhom, it would jump up and hit the glass and loved to be fed. definately if i could is obtain a shoal of "geryi"

cool tank tho. still

well, i got rid of the sand that i hated and replaced it with more natural looking stuff... i'm pretty happy with it so far, but it definitely needs to be planted soon. here's some crappy pics of the new hardscape and one full tank shot with my new DIY LED moonlights that i put in my canopy last night... let me know what you think.

Joe, nice aquascape man. how did you secure the java moss?
the only thing I don't like is the color of those rocks, they are blue, right? looks kind of out of place.

the moss is secured with fishing line

you know, when i collected the rocks, they looked black, then when i got em home and washed em, they looked dark grey, and now that they are in the tank, they look a bit lighter, like a grey/blue. they are a bit too light for my taste, but they should darken up once they age in the tank a bit. since its gonna be frozen up around here soon, maybe i'll go find some backups just in case.

seriously jp, you know i'm picky... now i'm gonna have to rip the whole damn tank apart again to fix that

i'm like that too sometimes, thats why you don't see me posting a lot of full tank shots for you guys to complain about, so I don't get any ideas :)
