I had a thread about finding out what chchlids I could breed in my 36g bowfront. Well tragedy struck my little tank. Heater malfunction killed all 4 acara's and my red sev. I traded a brand new heater for one I had on my 220g, I put the older one on the 36g. And it lasted like 3 weeks, then got stuck on while I was working. I came how from work Friday and my fiánce had a pouty look on her face. She knew how much I wanted a red sev, she was very supportive. Well, I've decided to go with HRP's instead of getting more acara's. Mostly because my LFS has absolutely no acces to them and he told me he will give me a decent store credit for fry. I ordered a trio (2F 1M) from florida tropica fish direct. I have already been in contact with them, amazing people by the way. I have a few questions about the hrp's
What are my odds of getting a pair from the trio? They will be 3". Should I have bought the smaller 1" size and get 5 or so and let them pair off naturally?
Will the pair be fine in the 36g? Is it big enough for them?
Also anyone have any experince breeding these guys? Is it as easy as I have read? Any insight would be great.
