The sunfish is a longear.

They are probably the most beautiful FW fish in NA. Here is what they look like around me. I caught this one in my back yard.

They give SRT's a run for their money, and at a fraction of the price!

I'm jealous that there's no Freshwater Aquariums in SoCal

Sea World has a freshwater fish house with a very overcrowded monster tank. And the Manatees have some large gars, catfish and pimas swimming around.
