Steve Irwin - 3 years tomorrow.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
RIP though your work went unfinished, your efforts are not forgotten.

I agree with everyone, its sad to think about it , but in the long run his short time on earth he has done so much look how many animals and crocodiles he saved and invented a safe harmful way to catch crocs with the top jaw rope and bottom jaw rope. After they hooked the croc did a deathrole and his jaws were wrapped up easily with less harm to the croc.Even though he is gone, he was one of the only ppl that apealed and brought his love for animals into the world.I remeber when i was much younger when i was small i was watching his shows and from then i had a love for animals.

he did alot for animals

Wow 3 years?Time goes by too quickly as you get older.:(
I read about his passing right here on mfk, changed my avatar too.
Thanks for the reminder,I was a fan of his work.:headbang2

What an inspiration. One of few who changed the way I really looked at all animals. I grew up looking forward to every single one of his shows. Now I can't even watch the re-runs.
R.I.P. Steve

This was in the back of my mind all day at work.
To be honest, I was hoping to get in with the crocs a bit today just for the sake of being in there... rain and other pressing tasks kept me too tied up.

He left some big shoes to fill....... and nobody has stepped into them as of yet.

I hate to say it, but I've heard his zoo has gone downhill.
I still miss him, though.

The price to get in is about 55 bucks for one adult, it used to be about 20 before steve died! Terri Irwin has made it too commerical, and I reckon she is cashing in on his death. How are ordinary people meant to go in and appreciate the animals if only the more wealthy people can afford to enjoy it. 8(

Even steve's dad Bob has left the zoo to start his own one, because he thinks Terri has taken the zoo into a different direction than steve would have wanted.

It's not the same without Steve.

To Steve.

To a man with an extreme passion for preserving all walks of life.

He is a hero, and will always be in our thoughts.
