If you're religious, just take comfort in the fact that they will both end up in two totally different places. Steve was a good man.

Yeah you're right :) ... I'm not too religious though.

I just read through all 20 pages and my views on MFK have changed. And I am coming back to the board, if that's ok.

RIP croc hunter

I have a tremendous amount of respect for anyone who can do what they truly love and make a living doing it. This man lived life the only way he knew how. He brought alot of attention to his cause and entertained people while educating them about animals we wouldn't ordinarily care to learn about. In my opinion the world has lost a great man and I feel for his wife and kids. God bless you Steve Irwin and your family.

"It feels like someone just told me Superman was dead..."

I was driving to work on Monday morning and heard about his death on the radio... I thought, like many others, that it was some kind of sick joke.

Feels kinda weird, a bit like when we in the UK were woken with the news of the death of Princess Diana, or Americans hearing of the death of Dale Earnhardt....

You might not have known the person, but they were in your conciousness and, whether you were aware of it or not, they had crept into your heart.

I've shed a tear reading this thread and looking at the links, especially the YouTube stuff and the tributes to him all over the web.

My thoughts are with his immediate family, Terri and the kids, and all of us, his OTHER family, who will sorely miss him.

Rest in Peace Steve - Heroes never die...

There was a radio station around here that dedicated some time to him. It was kind of weird because half the time he was praising Irwin, and the other half he was putting him down. :screwy:

I find it interesting how many people have come in so far this week wanting to see "killer" stingrays. However, the touch pool isn't so popular anymore. I hope this doesn't chagne hw people see rays, like what JAWS did to sharks. Then again, maybe people will wise up a little and come to grips with the fact that any wild animal is just that - a WILD animal.

I'm still quite upset over it and feel very depressed. I can't work or sleep well :(

I feel the exact same way, man. I can't believe he's gone, just like that. :( Moral of the story... Life is precious and fragile. Tell those you love, how much you love and appreciate them, cause you never know.. Here today, gone tomorrow, in an instant...
