actually 2 top holes on each side is enough for the filters(provided they are of reasonable size, 1-2 inch across?)...You will need to see if you can sneak power cords through for your heaters.

this tank only has 2 top holes, one on each side of tank, about 1 1/16" for filter hoses. Oh wait- wth? You just made me realize that I'll need more holes to use 2 canisters on it. Lol.
but the cabinet it sits on has 7 holes of various sizes, to plumb into the bottom [of a drilled tank] from underneath.
see, I made a typo on that post. My excitement is making me silly, because there are also 2 rectangular slots cut for HOB? filters or something. Those are 1 1/2" x 10 1/2".
so I can put hoses thru there, and cover the rest of it to prevent fish escapes.
DUH.
using the 1 inch per gallon rule, I can overstock it with my one oscar and about 4,000 free mosquito fish, dosed with prazi.

That is exactly my configuration...you will put the the filters through the slots...the holes are for heaters actually.
I actually stuff the rest of openings with pothos roots... Fish never tried to jump through that(I'll take a picture of my top when I get home)

which I have to Choose & order. (I have a used 400 watt, but want two- each capable of the gallons in case of a failure.)
and Oh Yeah, my original plan did include cramming pothos in there :-]
