Still Don't Understand FX5 Mania?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm not like a sump expert lol. I had to talk to a few people when I set mine up, mainly Jcardona. But between setting mine up, and seeing all the other filtration setups around here locally, I have a pretty decent grasp on them now. The saltwater guys basically figured it out for us anyway, haha.

No matter who, some guys on here could save humanity by charging us for piecework.
SINCE IT'S SO EASY.
Lol.
Ya'all have no idea how jealous we are of the skillz.

hahaha if you cant lift a fx5 when it full you should maybe find another hobby, or at least make it pump out half or less of the water before cleaning it out :screwy:

I certainly can lift one ,thats not the issue.. I DONT want to.....THATS one OF THE REASONS I suggested other types of filtration as an OPTION ...taking this a little personally ?BAD DAY?

Just saying, I built my sump for the same price as all those AC110s you got running, and I get more flow than a dozen of them if I want, and WAY more space for media, plus added tank volume. Could have been much cheaper if I skimped on the pump.

I think sumps are a great option for you diy guys.....

Is the tank already drilled?
this tank only has 2 top holes on each side of tank, about 1 1/16" for filter hoses. Oh wait- wth? You just made me realize that I'll need more holes to use 2 canisters on it. Lol.
but the cabinet it sits on has 7 holes of various sizes, to plumb into the bottom [of a drilled tank] from underneath.
:-)~
