these sales are the bomb.
I got an E 2217 that could be used for polishing if fx5 is overkill flow. that could go in the 75G for polishing. that 75 seaclearII has back compartments.

(I have room for another tank in here. I'd look for used deal)

I spent much of my youth doing unwise moves. it seemed so adventurous at the time. Lol.

they started on black friday and some new ones on cyber monday.
basically on google, just type the name & model of what you need. best results are with simplest search. like "fluval fx5" or "eheim 2262" extra words work against you.
try regular google line & SALE might show up. some items/Ads are limited or temporary pages.
then try google shopping. then search amazon.com. ebay. aquabid.
Just search & compare. Last night one item I was hunting ended as I got delayed by grandson & my checkout page going blitz. when I got back to my "cart" the item was sold out. so a mere 5-10 minutes can kill you. OR be a blessing. I paid for shipping on some stuff and an hour later another place would've saved me money...a few dollars more to purchase, but NO shipping=cheaper.

hey fx5 experts, do ALL new fx5's include their sponges? The sites don't all specify about what the STANDARD fx5 box has. ? (they DO say if it includes an extra media "kit")

I'm getting seachem Matrix for all my bio media (already ordered). I don't need the complete fluval media.
the sites do indicate about polishing pads.
 
...or just never clean the cansiter. Water's still running through it, it must be good, right?!?

this is why I stick to hob's and sponge filters...cans ARE nice some are even economical to run......but consider this...6 tanks aprox. 360 gallons run on NOTHING BUT ....hob's and sponge filters and at a total cost of about $360 ....and all the tanks are OVERFILTERED AND easy to maintain ... try that with canisters ...then think about the level of maintainence required to just get an fx5 to the sink (or outside )and clean (anybody for weightlifting....)no such need on an ac 70 ...but plenty of bio to support a good sized tank when coupled with a sponge filter...not ripping on canister owners but trying to give OTHER OPTIONS to those inclined not to pay for "packaging" and who want more real world performance:):popcorn:
