Do a 50% water change.

What do you have in your FX5?

Don't really need prefilter. Add more biomax or whatever. Just do a large water change.

did you add anything new to the tank?

Pretty much change the water....

Hmm. I have a tank with an Fx5 and it is crystal. also the clarity of the water will change with the different fish you have. For instance Redtails and other largefish create a lot of waste and ammonia which clouds the water. another thing you may want to look into is the biological filter. you need good bacteria to break down the bad bacteria that clouds water. in new tanks the biological filter is not set up yet. try adding stress zyme. that willl help. Also companies make water clarifyer that you can get at most pet stores.

True, But i wouldn't add any chemicals to the tank.

Just add more biomax or whatever and do a large water change(75%) and 25% every week.

I agree!!!

Put new carbon in the filter and clean it. Two days later do a water change. The water should clear up fine!!!

Once it gets crispy, put a picture in the crispy thread!!!!!
