Here are a few more pics of the "jack dempsey convict mix" that I was told might be a dovii but is definately not a jack con mix. Let me know whatcha think because i have no idea!!!! He's about tripled in size since I bought him a month or so ago too.

looks like a hybrid to me. look at the mouth it reminds me or a snook, or a dat.

probably stressed out dovii - but what if:

The black vertical stripping underneath the top fin and the shape of the body as well as the yellowish coloring addition-looks like a Psuedothropheus Carbo (African Bumble Bee cichlid). The rest of the fish looks parachromis.

Not meant to be fact but would be one interesting fish.

I appreciate the input! so its for sure a cichlid of some sort...most likely a central or south american?
