I have a female black diamond stingray, as well as a male black diamond hybrid. Ive had the female since the beginning of November. Ive noticed lately she's been breathing fast, still eats 1 to 2 times a day (dew worms, pellets and silversides) im just worried there's something going on. Still seems somewhat active but does spend a fair amount of time sitting in the corners breathing fast. Has not put a ton of size on, maybe 2" in the last 4 months.
My male seems to be fine and doesn't breath fast like she does.
I have added 2 12" peacock bass in about a month ago, but they dont seem to bother the rays at all.
Water quality should be superb. 7.4ph, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 20ppm nitrates (my water supply has 10ppm out of the tap) i run roughly 100g per day drip system. 60 to 70% water change once every 2 weeks just cause. Tank is 470g with 135g sump. 2 cubic ft of k1 and 2 big sheets of matala mat.
Definitely would appreciate any input. Maybe im being to cautious, but I have a feeling something isn't right, i have noticed white stringy poop in the tank on multiple occasions, possible worms? Would she live the past 4 months with worms and still eat? Im in Canada so I might be limited to medications.
Id like to post a video on here but not sure how I could go about that. Here's a picture anyway.
Thanks everyone!
